Let's build a dream house
There’s just a door and a path. Build the dream house your child would love to live in around that door, and talk about what’s in each room.

Questions to ask your child
- What kind of house would you like to live in?
- How many rooms will it have?
- What does a house absolutely need?
Adjust for your child’s age
- Around age 4
- Draw a big square around the door with a triangle roof and it’s a house.
- Ages 6–7
- Have them design special features found only in a dream house, like a slide for stairs or a pool in the sky.
After drawing: try this
Build the dream house your child drew for real, out of blocks or boxes.
Try it together
- Use the lines of the sketch as a starting point and let your child decide the shapes, colors and how many. The key is not to draw it for them.
- Draw shapes with the pencil and color them with 🪣 Fill — even the youngest children can finish this way. Mistakes disappear with ↶ Undo.
- When it’s done, ask “What did you draw?” and listen to the explanation. Tap 💾 Save to keep it as a PNG.
